i doubt the usefulness of such a logo in general, but it looks much better than the previous one.. maybe you can do other logos, for gnumeric for example, than it would make sense again ;)
btw: i prefer the flat logo to the glossy one. well, i always prefer flat things to glossy things ^^
I heard a rumor that they needed one so I made one, it seems like they've already decided on another though.
The font is free but I don't remember its name. Will update post later with a link.
